PCI: Physicians Investing In Physicians   

Founded in 2007 by Pedro Vergne-Marini, M.D. and Jerry M. Huffman, and joined by Mats Wahlström in September of 2011 as Managing Member and Chairman, Physicians' Capital Investments ("PCI") offers over 100 years of combined medical construction, healthcare management and clinical care experience.

PCI was created in order to address two critical yet under-served needs:

  • To develop and construct customized, high quality, modern and efficient medical office and clinical facilities that can be leased to national credit healthcare companies as well as to individual physician practices.  
  • To provide an investment vehicle wherein individual physicians and select employees can purchase a portion of the new facilities without personal liability. Stated facilities are leased prior to being built. 


PCI successfully developed and constructed state-of-the-art medical office and clinical facilities across the United States.

    PCI guides each project by providing on-going expertise in project development, accounting, financing, business development, information technology, construction, medical staff recruiting, and the final sale of the project.

    PCI is owned in part by physicians and has acquired over 500 physician investors; hence, PCI’s tagline “Physicians Investing in Physicians.”
